Overview

Huckle and Son are an experienced and reliable building company who have been in business for over 45 years. Providing a variety of building solutions across the three Counties of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.

Based in the centre of Derbyshire in Chesterfield, we are ideally placed to take on work both North and South of Chesterfield on the M1 and we specialise in building with stone and brick, to create bespoke properties to an exceptionally high quality.

Our highly qualified and experienced team are currently working on a project for a very high-end TV programme and details of this can be revealed once the programme has been shown, so we will be updating our Portfolio and Gallery with it as soon as we can…

1977

Company Started by David Huckle

David started roofing & bricklaying at age 22. Between 1983 and 1984 he had employed 16 people, fulfilling contracts for the Coal Board. To renovate 44 properties in Whitwell for Bolsover Council.

David has always been responsible for meeting new clients and costing out new jobs

2004

William Huckle Joins the Family Business

William studied Surveying at College and served an Apprenticeship with the company. 7 years later he was made a Director in 2008, taking over handling of the accounts, estimating & project management

William also works on-site for all the projects, where his specialist knowledge is always invaluable.

2016

Liam Brown Site Foreman

Starting with us from school at aged 16 for a 3-year apprenticeship and qualifying in Concrete Technology at College. Responsible for on-site management including organising the site set-out.

Liam is developing his knowledge in estimating costings while keeping everyone to task on-site.

2016

Property Development

We began developing our own properties, buying the land and designing and building a set of bespoke properties. All have now been successfully built and all of them are now sold to delighted home owners.

We are currently in negotiations to purchase our next potential site. An exciting project for this year!


